Shoe Designer, Product Developer, Brand Manager, and Marketing Director.
DEFINING CAREER MOMENT:
Starting my own women’s and men shoe line for golf. It’s been a dream and now a reality beyond the trials and tribulations. The proud feeling of doing your own is untouchable.
I GOT MY START WHEN:
I was 20 years old at Columbia College and was asked to do some focus groups and ad’s for K Swiss/Royal Elastics. That flourished into Account Executive, Brand Manager, and finally Product Development over 3 brands in a short time frame. Now, 28, I’m ready to start again on my own projects.
Design what we see, feel, wear, and indulge in on a day to day basis with comfort and style in mind.
BEFORE IT’S ALL SAID AND DONE, I WANT MY LEGACY TO BE:
He inspired those around him for the greater good and never complained. He just lived.
“GO TO” MOVE ON THE BASKETBALL COURT:
Well, I say I’m 6’0, but probably 5’11 at best. My go to move is every move. lol. I guess when you live, eat, and sleep hooping everything becomes a “go to” based on the situation.
MY MOST MEMORABLE BASKETBALL MOMENT EVER WAS:
I’m hooping at Mann Park in Chicago and I’m about perimeter range.. this guy is sticking hard d, so I studder step right and break left down the lane, I then alley-oop to my self down the middle and was about elbow deep in the rim. It was my first dunk and ever since then it still gets me juiced up. Those who were there to witness in Chi still talk about that dunk.
I FELL IN LOVE WITH BASKETBALL WHEN:
My mom is in the hall of fame at a legendary school called Fenger High school in Chicago. I always would hear her and her sisters and brothers talk about her 71 points in one game. How she led the team to championships. So, since 5 years old I always had a ball in my hand and put in work in and on the Chi-town gyms and parks. The game was already given to me.
